After 28 years and after 46 graduates in neuropsychology, the original clinical neuropsychology program has shifted from clinical to Behavioral Neuroscience .
The revised program is organized around a core group within the psychology department (Neuropsychology, Neuroscience, & Cognitive) to provide training and research regarding behavioral disorders observed in neurologic disease.
The subject of investigation will be from clinical populations with neurological disorders affecting higher cognitive processes such as executive functioning, memory, language, and motor functions. This clinical research will be linked to animal model research may where possible.
Current methods of clinical assessment, cognitive psychology, experimental design, and the neurosciences are integrated into a broad program of clinical and basic research.
This material represents the lecture outlines, relevant references, other web sites, and practice exams. You should use the Lesson Objectives to focus your study and should become familiar with the terms.
