NOTE: This diagram represents the cellular arrangement of the retina. Light enters through the
cornea, aqueous humor, lens, vitreous humor, and then passes through the ganglion and bipolar
cells before reaching the photoreceptor cells. The receptor cells are pointed away from the light
toward the pigmented epithelial cells (grey) and the choroid coat (black).
